International Cooperation

Through international projects, RG Aktiv Rehabilitering has supported the establishment of similar organizations in many other countries.

Description of Activities

The purpose of our international work is to share knowledge and experience in areas such as organizational development, outreach programs, and the Active Rehabilitation method. The goal is to support passionate individuals in newly founded organizations abroad, so they can continue to develop their structures and services.

RG maintains ongoing relationships with these new organizations, enabling continuous exchange of knowledge and experience.

RG’s international work aims to:

  • Train partner organizations.
  • Organize rehabilitation programmes.
  • Educate peer mentors, medical professionals, politicians, and others.
  • Share knowledge on basic SCI care and rehabilitation.
  • Donate lightweight wheelchairs and other assistive devices.
  • Exchange knowledge and experiences, contributing to the development of our own organization.

International projects are typically funded through project grants, for example from ForumCiv. Additionally, 12% of RG’s membership fees are allocated to support international activities.

All of RG’s international efforts are carried out on a voluntary basis.
