Overview – Adult Programs
RG Aktiv Rehabilitering works to ensure that people with spinal cord injuries or similar conditions have every opportunity to live inspiring, active, and independent lives – now and in the future.
Our Programmes
RG’s programmes support both newly injured individuals and those who have lived with their injury for a longer time. The programmes focus on sharing experiences and inspiring training for increased independence. All programmes include peer mentors – people who themselves live with a physical disability similar to that of the participants. This ensures that participants always have someone to turn to for answers, insight and practical tips.
Our Activities
Our activities include physical exercise, wheelchair and walking skills, outdoor activities, and support for those who are living with a spinal cord injury .
Training in Stockholm
If you are living in Region Stockholm, RG offers training and rehabilitation for groups and individuals. Our professional instructors help you achieve the fitness, mobility, balance, strength, and technique you need for transfers, walking, and wheelchair use.
Kayaking
Kayaking is a great way to connect with nature. It also involves practicing transfers, endurance, and balance. With us, you’ll learn the basics alongside experienced peers and instructors, and enthusiastic fellow participants.
Sledge Skating
RG organizes ice skating training for individuals with physical disabilities who want to try sledge skating or standing skating.
Peer Coaches
A coach is someone who helps you find your own answers to the questions that matter to you. Our peer coaches have been trained in coaching-style dialogue and live with spinal cord injury themselves, giving them a deeper understanding of your situation.
Digital Theme Meetups
Each year, RG hosts several digital theme sessions for our members. These meetups take place online so you can participate regardless of where you are located.
Other Offerings
We also provide outreach services and digital gatherings for newly injured individuals and their family members.
